From 12 of march to 26 of june 2016 the Scuderie del Quirinale, in Rome, contain the masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance made by two Italian artists from Parma : Francesco Mazzola, called Parmigianino, and Antonio Allegri, called Correggio. The exhibition has more than 100 works, paintings and drawings, coming from the most important museums in the world and it shows also works by contemporary artists who followed the two greatest luminaries of the Italian Renaissance.
You start the exhibition with two huge canvasses which are two altar-pieces, representing Santa Cecilia and David, that Parmigianino realized when he was only 16 in the church of Santa Maria della Steccata in Parma. You can see other works like Danae, The School of Love, Portrait of Lorenzo Cybo, Turkish slave – girl and so on.
